The Freebooter Lounge welcomes the ‘D-Echo Project’ to the camp, dub maestro’s Valter & Rogério remix ‘Feel’ taken from Simon Sheldon’s LP Timelines released earlier in the year on The Freebooter Lounge.

In 2010, the two friends Valter Silva and Rogério Coelho, both from Peniche in Portugal, decided to work together as D-Echo Project to create a fusion of styles from all over the world, from Dub, Funk, Jazz and Soul to Electronic and Dance...

Valter had his first musical experiences on local events in 1995 where his passion about percussion began. A few years later, he started to play percussion on jam sessions with local musicians. Rogério's passion for music production started in 2008 when he learned how to produce with a Digital Audio Workstation. After one year he had his first music experiences by playing in local psy parties. Their passion for deep slow sultry sounds and dub bass mean they put their soul into every piece of music they create.

Simon Sheldon has been writing, producing, releasing, and performing under many pseudonyms for 30 years plus. In various ensembles and as a solo artist, he has played live in the US, throughout Europe and Asia and now with his label The Freebooter Lounge has guested on Café Mambo radio during lockdown and had the 9th top selling Electronica track at Beatport for 2022 for his collaboration with fellow freebooter LOEW and DJ T.
