about

A beautifully written, musically intricate and outstanding album languishing in the studio vaults since 2004 finally seeing the light of day. 12 stunning tracks on one LP from Nu-jazz maestros Bellcrash.

Bellcrash are Mark Bell and Paul McMahon. They are music producers from Belfast who met each other over 20 years ago through a mutual friend who thought that they should work together.

The friend was right because Mark and Paul really clicked. They discovered that they not only had a mutual interest in jazz, funk, disco & electronic music but also all forms of music technology.

Throughout the years they have released singles for various labels as well as their first album which was called “Suzume Park” and was released on Sunshine Enterprises records.

Their music has also featured on many nu-jazz & chill out compilations through the years and has received a lot of support from Gilles Peterson, LTJ Bukem, Laurent Garnier and many others.

Bellcrash would like to thank everyone who contributed to this album: Martina Evers, Tim Cobain, Neil Everett, Linley Hamilton, Chris McComish, Lewis Smith, David Lyttle, Nicky Scott, Joel Byrne McCullough, Scott Flanigan, Carl Harvey, Seamus Rafferty, John McMahon, Jerry Lockhart, Simon Sheldon, John McCullough, Andrew Motion, Alan Watts and Chris Martin.
